MR Label Co. is the only label manufacturer to utilize CuVerro® Bactericidal Copper under US Patent 10064273. We offer a variety of custom labels and membrane switches made with CuVerro® bactericidal copper surfaces, which have been shown to kill bacteria that cause infection. From hospital bed switches to soap dispenser covers, MR Label Co. with CuVerro® Copper Materials can help provide the bacteria-killing services that you need. CuVerro® is a product of Olin Brass, ensuring the technical, R&D, distribution, and service support that customers require, as well as information to help customers with regulatory compliance necessary to sell bactericidal copper surfaces in the marketplace.
What is Cuverro®?
CuVerro® is a solid surface that’s a unique class of copper. The surface continuously kills 99.9% harmful bacteria, when cleaned regularly, and is the latest innovation by Olin Brass, a global leader in copper-based alloys.
Easy to maintain, CuVerro® is tarnish-resistant and will not oxidize and turn green like pure copper. CuVerro® represents the only class of solid surface materials registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to actively kill bacteria. The inherent properties work 24/7 in between cleaning, never washing out, or wearing away, making CuVerro® ideally suited for commonly touched surfaces where bacteria is concerned. Engineered for durability and strength with bactericidal efficacy, it’s backed by EPA registration, unlike coatings and additives. CuVerro® is more than antimicrobial – it’s bactericidal, meaning it KILLS bacteria and does not only inhibit bacterial growth.

CDA – Antimicrobial Copper Media Tracker
CDA is the U.S.-based not-for-profit association of the global copper industry, influencing the use of copper and copper alloys through research, development, and education, as well as technical and end-user support. As Congress works to meet the new reality of COVID-19 and the effects on our people and our economy, I wanted to bring your attention to the role copper can play in this and future fights.
There is a large body of published evidence from independent studies demonstrating broad-spectrum antimicrobial efficacy of uncoated copper and copper alloy surfaces against human pathogens, including one strain of coronavirus reported in a 2015 paper by Warnes.

More recently, a U.S. government-funded study published last week and conducted by researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), reported that the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes the disease COVID-19, remained viable for up to 2 to 3 days on plastic and stainless steel surfaces but only up to 4 hours on copper.

CDA has put together the attached position paper which offers more details. In addition, please understand that specific to your daily life, nearly all doorknobs throughout the Capitol complex are made of uncoated copper and copper alloys that are working continuously to kill human pathogens, including the SARS-CoV-2 virus as reported in the CDC/NIH study. Please note, this is not a replacement for continued good hygiene practices but is instead one additional tool to assist in the fight. You can also read a good press story on the role of copper against COVID-19 and other pathogens and how copper might play a critical role in confronting the next pandemic here.
Bed Techs, Inc.
An advanced treatment technology applied to hospital beds with antimicrobial copper materials to kill bacteria and prevent infections from spreading. The process uses EPA-Registered technologies from LuminOre Copper Touch and MR Label Co. This system utilizes a technology that keeps a patient’s primary care area and bed surfaces cleaner. Other cleaning methodologies can help reduce bioload, but this state-of-the-art technology is active and keeps hospital areas clean, without human intervention and the hassle of additional training, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
